* The Headmaster presented his first and very positive Annual Report at Speech Day today, and we thank our guest speaker, Dr Chadwick, Principal of Berkhamsted Collegiate School, for her address and for presenting the many prizes and trophies to the boys. *

Recent News:
6th July: A strong Old Yorkists team beat our 1st XI in a pleasant evening match today.
5th July: The home cricket matches were abandoned at tea as the heavens opened. However, away at Lochinver the 1st XI and the Colts B Team won their games.
4th July: A packed hall of parents and visitors enjoyed a wonderful evening of recitation and music performed by the boys at the Senior Arts Festival this evening.
3rd July: The boys, staff and parents thoroughly enjoyed the Junior Plays today - these young boys performed with great confidence and competence - well done!
1st July: Wellington House was the overall winner of the Forms V to VIII Athletics Sports today; special thanks to Mr Woodford for his excellent organisation, and well done to all the boys who gave their best in the very hot conditions.
28th June: In the cricket matches against Lockers Park School, our 1st XI and Colts B lost in close games, and the 2nd XI and Colts A won.
21st June: Drake House won the Middle School Cricket Competition today by beating Wellington in the final over of their game.
19th June: Drake House won the Senior Cricket Competition today; Marlborough came 2nd, Nelson 3rd, and Wellington 4th.
17th June: Marlborough House won the Junior Athletics Spoprts today; Wellington came 2nd, Nelson 3rd, and Drake 4th.
12th June: Our athletes did very well in the IAPS Athletics area championships today - Marcus achieved first place.
8th June: Wellington House was the clear winner of the Forms V & VI Swimming Gala today. However, the overall scores (with Junior results added) are very close, showing only 5 points difference between the four Houses!
24th May: Against Beechwood today, the 1st and 2nd XI games were abandoned due to heavy rain; however, the Colts A lost and the Colts B drew.
18th May: The YHS Athletes did very well today - they beat St Martins in the Europa Cup Events.
17th May: Rain caused all games except the 1st XI to be abandoned today, and they drew with St Johns.
15th May: Forms VII & VIII Inter-House Cricket - Marlborough beat Wellington and Drake beat Nelson.
10th May: Good results against St Martins - 2nd XI, Colts A and Colts B won, and the 1st XI drew.
6th May: Mixed fortunes in the cricket matches against Aldwickbury in dismal weather conditions - the Colts B lost, the Colts A and the 1st XI drew, and the 2nd XI won.
3rd May: The 1st XI beat Davenies - they were all out for 98, YHS 99 for 3; Colts A beat St George's - YHS 149, St.G. 8 all out; Colts B beat St George's - YHS 75, St.G. 41. A good start!
25th Apr: The Junior swimmers produced lots of closely contested events in their Inter-House Competition today. The winning House was Nelson, followed by Drake, Marlborough and Wellington.
24th Apr: We welcome Miss McKenzie as our new Head of French this term.

29th Mar: Farewell to Mrs Leacock as she leaves York House today to take up a post as a Headmistress. We thank her for all she has done, and wish her the very best for the future.
28th Mar: The audiences enjoyed the two performances of "Dracula Spectacula" on Monday and Tuesday evenings - thanks especially to Mrs Leacock and Mr Biggs for this production.
23rd Mar: Our Under XI Cross Country Team were tremendous today, coming first in the event at St.John's School - Well Done Boys!
22nd Mar: Both our Senior Rugby Teams - 1st XV and 2nd XV - beat Merchant Taylors' teams today: great results boys, well played!
15th Mar: Our Colts scored only once in the St John's Sevens today. They were outplayed by three very strong teams in their pool of matches. The tournament was won by St.Columba's School.
4th Mar: Both our home teams lost today to Aldwickbury - 1st XV 12-14 and Colts B 5-26. The away teams faired no better, the 2nds lost 17-10 and the Colts A lost 14-0.
1st Mar: Our 1st and 2nd XVs suffered defeats today in difficult matches against St John's experienced teams.
27th Feb: Our Senior Sevens Team did well in the St Martin's Tournament today, winning every game until being narrowly beaten in the final, but Well Done Boys!
24th Feb: In the St Martin's Road Relay our Seniors came 2nd and the Juniors came 4th.
22nd Feb: Our teams had difficult games against Lochinver today - the 1st XV and both Colts teams lost, but our 2nd XV continued their good run with another splendid win - Well done!
8th Feb: Mixed fortunes for our rugby teams v. St Martin's today: Colts A and B XIIs both lost, but the 1st & 2nd XVs both had splendid victories - Well Done!
7th Feb: The Form 5 to 8 boys enjoyed an exciting Shakespeare workshop today, helping to act out scenes from "Hamlet".
1st Feb: In the rugby matches against St George's today, our 1st XV lost, our 2nd XV won, and our Colts A & B both lost.
25th Jan: Our Colts struggled against the more experienced St John's teams today - our A team lost 42-0 and the B team lost 35-5.
23rd Jan: In the Inter-school Cross Country today our Under 11 Team came 7th (out of 9 schools) and our Under 13 Team came a commendable 2nd (out of 7 schools).
13th Jan: Inter-House Cross Country Junior winners: Drake; Intermediate winners: Wellington; Senior winners: Marlborough; Overall winners: Wellington; Individual winners: Edward M, Matthew SH and Matthew L, Well Done Boys!
